3XLSS catalog

The XXL Survey spans 50 sq. deg. observed with XMM-Newton and a plethora of ground- and space-based telescopes across the electromagnetic spectrum.

In Chiappetti et al., 2018 we published a catalog of 26,056 X-ray sources with associated counterparts and redshifts.

The figure on the left shows the number of sources as function of observed flux. The black points show the XXL points, notice that due to the large area covered, the XXL survey extends previous extragalactic surveys to brighter fluxes.

XXL-1000-AGN

The 1000 brightness X-ray sources from the XXL-Survey provide a taster before the release of the entire sample (roughly 20k sources).

Fotopoulou et al., 2016 provide an extensive view on the multiwavelength properties of these sources, including X-ray spectral modelling, photometric redshifts, classifications, and large scale structure properties.

The figure on the right, shows the luminosity-redshift plane coverage of the XXL-1000-AGN sources as well as past and future X-ray surveys.

Lockman hole

The Lockman Hole Deep Field, remains among the deepest X-ray observations with XMM-Netwon, proving a unique view of high-redshift and low luminosity X-ray sources.

In Fotopoulou et al., 2012, we presented the first comprehensive multiwavelength catalog for this field including mutliwavelength photometry, photometric redshift estimates and X-ray counterparts.

The figure on the left shows the accuracy achieved on the estimation of photometric redshifts for normal galaxies in the field.
